This week’s featured song story comes to us from Mosaic MSC. We’re excited to share with you the story behind their single “Tremble,” based of Psalm 97:4 which says “His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.”
I love this verse because I feel like it portrays the greatness and the splendor of Jesus and how great His light can reach and span and this song “Tremble” is one of those songs that shows the light of God. It continues to be so relevant and powerful to us because everybody experiences darkness in some form or another. Everybody knows what it is to go through a season in which you’re not sure where to go or you can’t see the way. And then Jesus shows up and that darkness just dissipates. – Mosaic MSC

I know some people misunderstand a song like this, but when you think in terms of the spiritual battle we are in (Eph 6) it makes perfect sense. When I focus my worship for an audience of One I can keep right on singing this song. Our enemy must submit before the name of Jesus, not as an incantation, but because the power of Jesus is far greater than our enemy. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1Cor4:20)
