As we kick off 2022 we’ve put together a list of five new artists we think are worth your time and ear this year. Check them out below and you just might find one of these new faces becoming your next fave.
Mike Donehey

Mike Donehey is a recording artist, songwriter, speaker, podcast and video show host, author (of the bestselling book Finding God’s Life for My Will), and founding member of the band Tenth Avenue North. Despite the group’s widespread popularity, Tenth Avenue North’s members sensed at the beginning of 2020 that they each had their own unique roads to follow. Mike seized this opportunity to expand as a storyteller, communicator, and thought instigator wherever his voice could be heard. His debut album Flourish is available now.
Anne Wilson

Anne Wilson burst onto the scene last year with her #1 debut single, “My Jesus,” a warm invitation to experience her Savior in the same intimate way she knows Him, which she co-wrote with Jeff Pardo and Matthew West. With a mesmerizing voice and a visible hunger for Jesus, the 19-year-old relies on personal journal entries and time spent in nature for songwriting inspiration. Her rootsy sound reflects her strong southern upbringing and her admiration for country royalty like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton married with the heart-on-your-sleeve transparency of Steffany Gretzinger and Lauren Daigle.
Ryan Ellis

Singer, songwriter, and worship leader Ryan Ellis was introduced last summer as the newest member of the Provident Label Group/Sony Music family with his powerful debut single “Heart of the Father.” His name may be new as a signed artist, but Ryan Ellis has been preparing for this moment his entire life. With songwriting talents that have allowed him to pen songs for Matt Redman, Natalie Grant, Meredith Andrews, Steven Malcolm, House Fires, and more, he also wrote Chris Tomlin’s “Resurrection Power,” earning him a GMA Dove Award nomination and ASCAP’s “Most Performed Song” award in 2018. His label debut EP, Episode 1 is available now.
Abby Robertson

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Abby Robertson released her debut, self-titled EP in August 2021 on Big Future Records. The EP features her single “Sanctuary,” along with 4 additional tracks, all of which were produced by Tyrus Morgan (Ryan Stevenson, We Are Messengers, and more). Though still early in her career, Robertson has a lot to be proud of: she’s opened for names like The Beach Boys and Switchfoot and has performed at international music festivals in Israel, Malta, and Ethiopia. She’s released pop songs and even had a stint in country music—all before age 21. Catch Abby Robertson on the road this year on Winter Jam 2022.
Patrick Mayberry

Passionate about seeing people connect with the heart of God through music and corporate worship, singer/songwriter Patrick Mayberry first fell in love with worship music at a Passion Conference in 2006. Signed to Centricity Publishing as a writer since 2018, the Cookeville, TN native has penned songs recorded by North Point Worship, David Leonard, Mack Brock, Chris Renzema, David Dunn, Jonny Diaz and Joel Vaughn, among others. In addition, he’s garnered sync placements with T-Mobile, NBA, NBC’s TODAY show and more. His debut single, “Breakthrough Miracle Power”—co-written with Hillsong Young & Free’s Bede Benjamin Korporaal and Passion Music’s Kristian Stanfill—served as Mayberry’s official introduction as an artist with Centricity Music. His EP, Holy Spirit Come is available now.
