In case you missed it, Zach Williams and Dolly Parton shared some exciting news last week. Their hit single “There Was Jesus” topped both the Christian Airplay and Christian AC charts. The song marks Dolly Parton’s first #1 on Billboard’s Christian charts.
Written by Zach Williams, Casey Beathard and Jonathan Smith, the song is one about hope in troubled times and serves as a great reminder that Jesus is always there, especially when things seem the darkest.
Dolly Parton shared with Billboard, “Having a No. 1 record at any time is a great thing, but having a No. 1 faith-based record during these crazy times is even greater. I feel humbled and blessed to be part of this wonderful song with Zach Williams. It does my heart good to know that we have touched the lives of so many people.”
It was last November when Zach Willams and Dolly Parton shared the stunning duet LIVE for the first time with the world when they performed at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards. Since then, the song has gained extraordinary momentum and has become one of Zach Williams’ most consumed songs to date along with the title track from his 2019 album, Rescue Story.
Congratulations Zach & Dolly!
