This week’s featured song story comes to us from LEDGER. We’re excited to share with you the story behind her brand new single “My Arms.”
“’My Arms’ is for someone in the midst of a season where you feel really confused, really hurt, and really lost. Maybe the burdens you’re carrying just feel way too heavy for you. The wonderful thing is that Jesus promises us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We can all come to Him – all who are weary and heavy burdened. God promises us in the Bible that His grace is made sufficient in every season and His power is made perfect in our weakness. Though our situations and circumstances might not necessarily change, we don’t have to go through them on our own. We can rest in the fact that maybe this is too heavy for me but it’s not too heavy for You. If you’re facing things that feel too much for you, ask God into your life and let Him display His strength. Let Him carry you through! His power is made perfect in weakness and it’s a beautiful thing that we can rest in as believers.” – LEDGER

“My Arms” Lyrics
When did the scars over your heart
Become your hiding place
When did the stars become so dark
You couldn’t find your way
The light inside your eyes is fading out
But I’m not gonna give up on you now
Don’t be afraid
I know you think you’re out on your own
But you’ll be ok
You don’t have to go through it alone
Fall into my arms
Fall into my arms
So let me see the hurt underneath
I’m not a stranger to pain
‘Cause I believe in what you can be
I’ll never turn away
The light inside your eyes is fading out
But I’m not gonna give up on you now
Don’t be afraid
I know you think you’re out on your own
But you’ll be ok
You don’t have to go through it alone
Fall into my arms
Fall into my arms
You’re not the one who needs to be strong
Fall into my arms
I see you right where you are
I hear the whisper of your heart
And it’s ok to fall apart
I will carry you in my arms
Don’t be afraid
I know you think you’re out on your own
But you’ll be ok
You don’t have to go through it alone
Fall into my arms
Fall into my arms
You’re not the one who needs to be strong
Fall into my arms
And it’s ok to fall apart
Just fall into my arms
