As most of you know, Shane & Shane recently released their album, “The One You Need,” and fans who pre-ordered had the option of getting a vinyl record version of the album. We have a copy of that vinyl LP here at FreeCCM, and we will be giving it away to one of you!
I love that vinyl is coming back in style. Of course, now it is more of a novelty than anything; the sound quality is nostalgic but not nearly as high quality as what we have today! When I first started listening to music, everything was sold on cassette tapes. I remember recording myself onto my cassette player–you know, where you have to press play and record at the same time. I also remember the tape being caught in the player, so I had to take a pencil and wind it back up again. I thought CDs were awesome when they first became popular, and now even CDs seem outdated sometimes!
The first album I ever bought with my own money on a cassette was Jaci Velasquez, “Heavenly Place.” Do you remember the first album you ever bought? What medium did you buy it in? CD? Cassette? 8-track? Vinyl record?
Tell us about your first album buying experience for your chance to win a vinyl copy of Shane & Shane’s “The One You Need.”
A winner has been selected! Thanks for entering!
