I love the sound of “Right Now” on the new album but it seems to end way too soon. Any chance you’ll complete it some day and re-record it for an album down the road? Pretty please?

Can Troy share any tips for growing such a luxuriant beard? Seriously, it’s a good-looking beard!

I’d love to hear about Sara’s songwriting process. Does she write melodies first or lyrics. Does she compose spontaneously and tweak or write lyrics and then put it to music. Is she inspired to write anywhere and everywhere, or is it a discipline where she sits down to “write a song.” As an aspiring songwriter, I love hearing about the creative process – as Sara is the best.

Hi there … Sara Groves’ new record is truly beautiful, amazing, such a blessing! Thank you! I also love your EPK and the acoustic videos, can’t wait to see more of them. – I would specially love to know more about the story behind the last song, “Finite”, and the short “Right Now”. And can you please urge lovely Sara Groves to publish a songbook for Invisible Empires soon.

      Hi Sara,

Your music is absolutely incredible! It’s been such a blessing having your music in my life. When will you be doing a tour in Canada?

I have loved Sara from the first time I heard The Word on the radio. I love every album and I promote you like you are my sister. When I first heard the “Eyes on the Prize” opening I thought you were finally ready to rock! I was slightly disappointed when the pace changed abruptly. Do you think you would ever feel ready to take a departure from the familiar? There’s nothing wrong with what you do now but I find myself wondering where else your talents could take you. Do you feel any desire to bust out and break it down?

Great new album! I attended your concert at Apostles last evening in Atlanta. All of you were awesome. Your music is definitely a blessing from God. God bless.

      Hello Sara,

Your music moves my heart. About ten years ago I was in a Christian shop in Oxford and I heard the first few notes of one of your songs being played over the stereo system. You had not even begun singing, but the touch of your fingers on the keyboard was the touch of the Spirit in my life. There was something about that moment. I knew your work would be important for me; and I was right.

      You cannot know your position.

I have a simple question: When will you be coming to the UK? [And any chance of coming to Wales?]

Blessings on you and your family.

      Always believe.

      Gareth

Hey Sara, I was wondering if you might be willing to share a bit more about how you got your start. I’ve heard you say before that you used to be an English teacher who didn’t know a soul in the business. What would you say to an ordinary person who thinks they might be gifted in an extraordinary way, and thinks God might be calling them to do something more with their talent? Where should they start? How should they pray? What advice would you have for them? Thank you for being brave enough to step out in faith and offer what you have been given to the Lord. He has used you to bless so many, including myself. So grateful for you and your music!

      Howdy Sara,
I have always enjoyed your music but even more so your lyrics. They challenge me. I have been enjoying Invisible Empires and the shirt arrived today. I don’t have a big question, but I did want to say, keep up the good work of questioning our assumptions, our busyness, our self centeredness and calliing us to keep our eye on the prize even as we keep picking up the pins.
      Warmly,
      Dawn

      Dear Sara,
This CD has been such a joy to listen to and there are so many themes in it which deeply impact me, so first of all i want to thank you for this precious gift you have shared. Having seen how you interact with people and your love expressed in different types of service, I have wondered if you weren’t in music ministry, is there another kind of ministry or service that you find yourself drawn to?

I am going to echo what Joanne asked. How do you write your songs? Do you write lyrics first, do you write music and lyrics together? I think about songs like “It’s Me” and wonder if you journal and pull lyrics or if after a difficult time you sit down and write or are really able to remember feelings and emotions that well that you can sit down at some other time and write something so real.

Sara, have you ever thought of writing a book? And what would be the topic? I once read your story in C. Rhodes’ “The Art of Being” where you honestly shared about anxiety and trust in God. I loved that, you have so much to share, to tell and to teach. And I’m thankful for the beautiful way you do so: honest, humble, with love and compassion. Thank you!

Hi Sara, I just received Invisible Empires and listened to it for the first time today. I have to give it time before I can digest it, but I know that as I do I will be able to where it is you intend to take me. You have never failed in making me sensitive to things about God and this life He has called us to live. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for how you not only have touched me but so many beyond this time and place. Just like your song “Generations” gripped me one day driving home, that’s what you do. By the way I saw you in Clearwater, Fl. for your Christmas concert this past December and was blessed to hear the legacy your grandparents handed down to you.

      Yeah… er… ummmm… I was just wondering… What is Sara’s favorite Jason Gray song?

Or if that’s not a good question, then: it seems like there’s a whole world of meaning behind the short song “Right Now” – would love to hear more about what that song is about and what it means to her.

Unfortunately Sara left the office right before your question came in, but his song “Remind Me Who I Am” is pretty awesome 🙂
