If you have followed MercyMe over the years, then you’ve probably learned about the many other passions and talents they have besides just making music.
For example,
They love their families…
And their bikes…
and their favorite sports teams…
and let’s be honest, Bart has a nack for humor like no other….
But today we really want to focus in on their uninhibited ability to “move”
The band has a brand new single hitting airwaves over the next couple weeks called “Move” which talks about why we all have a reason to dance, and how we can keep dancing on even through the hard and difficult times in life. “But, what does that really look like” you ask? Well, lucky for us this is a band that actually walks the talk and lives out what they sing. For example, we have a special behind the scenes look at a dance party that went down on the MercyMe tour bus after hours a few nights ago…
Watch at your own risk.
But seriously, this is a great song you don’t want to miss. Check it out in the video below, and read the lyrics to see what the heart behind it is.

“Move”
I’m not about to give up
Because I’ve heard You say
There’s gonna be brighter days
There’s gonna be brighter days
I won’t stop I’ll keep my head up
No I’m not here to stay
There’s gonna be brighter days
There’s gonna be brighter days
I just might bend but I won’t break
As long as I can see Your face
When life won’t play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can’t seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I won’t let it drag me down
Oh I’ll keep dancing anyway
Gonna move move
Gonna move move
I’ve got to hold it steady
Keep my head in the game
Everything is about to change
Everything is about to change
This hurt is getting heavy
But I’m not about to cave
Everything is about to change
There’s gonna be brighter days
I just might bend but I won’t break
As long as I can see Your face
Chorus
No matter what may come
Gonna move to a different drum
No matter what life brings
Gotta move to a different beat

You are all amazing! I love your music and the love the band members even more! I had the priveledge of seeing you all in Portland w/our youth group. It was amazing, and looking forward to seeing you all again next year! Thank you all for being inspirations to us all!!! Take care and God Bless!
LOVE MR LOVEWELL AND the MercyMe lads. Keep on loving like Jesus! hugZ
MercyMe, you guys rock. I try and go to your concert every time you come to Nebraska or within about a 200 mile radius. Keep putting out great music(which I have no doubt you will) and thank you for your ministry and your songs.
this was my first favorite from the album, aside from Creation which was a favorite since the preview was available on the website.
Bart always brings humor and the band answers! How awesome to have a job where you hang out with friends and sing for Jesus too! Go back and visit Montana again!
I have been a fan since their first album. You guys are the best. May God bless everything that you do!
