As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. –John 9:1-3

Thanks Laura! I sure need to think how more often than why. The Lord is blessing so many through you and the challenges you have faced. Thanks for being a willing vessel!
Thanks for this word, Laura. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2000. He was only 50 years old. It has been hard to watch him lose the ability to do things. We have much to be thankful for. He is still able to do a lot of things that we didn’t think he would be able to do. He can still drive except at night. His faith and mine has grown during this trial. I now have to face the fact that my only sister is dying with ALS. She is now wheelchair bound and we are moving closer to her to help take care of her. She has so much joy in knowing that she will be with Jesus soon. In fact, I know she is a blessing to all who know her and many are not saved. I think the HOW of this is that He will be glorified by those lost people who will see Christ in her and want what she has.
Sometimes I get really down but when I think of how good God has been and also as you mentioned, Romans 8:28, I feel joy flood my soul.
Thanks again,
Love, In Christ,
Colleen Smith
