You may have heard their catchy worship song “Glory To God Forever” on the radio, but that is just one of the many amazing anthems that Fee has created on their new album “Hope Rising.” The guys of Fee worked hard to put this record together and have some great inspiration to share about their experience throughout the making of it. Read on to hear from each band member about what it means to them and how it all came together.
Steve: “The making of this record has been a pretty cool journey. We started the record without a big plan; we didn’t have a huge road map of what to do. We said lets just get together and get in the studio and see what God exports from our hearts. It’s like God has put us together; he put the right people together in this band and we all bring different things to the table. I love these guys, and what they bring in their hearts is as good, if not better, than what they bring musically with their talent.”
Matt: “Being the guitar player for Fee and Recording “Hope Rising” was an amazing process. I feel like God gave me things to say through my guitar, and it’s really cool to be able to capture that and share that with the world.”
Heath- “This album for me is more than an album. It’s more than just a bunch of songs, and I’m just so thankful to be with these guys, and I believe in them with all my heart. I’m excited to see what God does with this stuff because we had an amazing time in the studio.”
Brandon: “If I could just wrap my head around the one thing I got from this record, it’s that in every situation there is hope that god is consistent and he remains the same. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever and in that we find our hope, and we find a reason to wake up and we find joy in our steps and we find purpose to our lives, and there’s nothing cooler to me to sing about than that.”
Steve sums up the overall theme of the record with these final thoughts, “If the success of our life is hanging on the hope of our strength than we don’t have any hope at all, but it’s the strength of God, the one who holds the whole universe together. He’s the one that carries us day to day. Whenever you factor the person of Jesus and what he brings to our life and to any equation the result is that there is hope. In any situation you can see hope rising because that’s what our God is, he’s hope, and that’s what these songs are chanting.”
