So… a few weeks back MercyMe frontman, Bart Millard, posted a link to this news story that I couldn’t believe. Have any of you all heard of this “plank craze” that has been going down? Well, I hadn’t, and thought that it was some kind of a joke.

Come to find out, it’s not a joke at all… These people are for real!

All this to say, the reason I brought it up is because Bart has to decided to join in on the fun. We’ve already seen that he has some killer dance moves up his sleeve, but who knew he had this in him? Check out some of his lovely plank poses…

If you have followed MercyMe over the years, then you’ve probably learned about the many other passions and talents they have besides just making music.

But today we really want to focus in on their uninhibited ability to “move”

The band has a brand new single hitting airwaves over the next couple weeks called “Move” which talks about why we all have a reason to dance, and how we can keep dancing on even through the hard and difficult times in life. “But, what does that really look like” you ask? Well, lucky for us this is a band that actually walks the talk and lives out what they sing. For example, we have a special behind the scenes look at a dance party that went down on the MercyMe tour bus after hours a few nights ago…

We wanted to update you about everything that’s going on with “The Generous Mr. Lovewell” so we thought we’d just let MercyMe do it.  See what they have to say below-

Hey everybody! We have been blown away by all the support from everyone for this album, but more than that, it’s incredibly humbling to see the “love well” idea take flight. We sold over 87,000 albums the first week, and debuted at #3 on billboard! All because of you the fans! We cannot say thank you enough!

This past week we sat speechless as people rallied around “Mr. Lovewell!” While we had a blast trying to reach #1, seeing people actually making a difference by “loving others well” is what truly caught us off guard. What we hoped would take place during the next several months, actually started taking place in a week! They have the potential to hit #1 on Billboard, which has only ever happened once before from a Christian artist.
