MercyMe Shows Off Some New “Moves”

So… a few weeks back MercyMe frontman, Bart Millard, posted a link to this news story that I couldn’t believe. Have any of you all heard of this “plank craze” that has been going down? Well, I hadn’t, and thought that it was some kind of a joke.

Come to find out, it’s not a joke at all… These people are for real!

All this to say, the reason I brought it up is because Bart has to decided to join in on the fun. We’ve already seen that he has some killer dance moves up his sleeve, but who knew he had this in him? Check out some of his lovely plank poses…

oops, I think that was actually just him sleeping…

Have any of you done this? If so, you should post your photos on our Facebook wall so we can check it out. Also, feel free to share your dance moves with us and MercyMe by following these instructions here. MercyMe’s newest single, “Move,” is sure to give you some good inspiration for the task. ;)

Dance Lessons With MercyMe

If you have followed MercyMe over the years, then you’ve probably learned about the many other passions and talents they have besides just making music.

For example,

They love their families…

And their bikes…

and their favorite sports teams…

and let’s be honest, Bart has a nack for humor like no other….

But today we really want to focus in on their uninhibited ability to “move”

The band has a brand new single hitting airwaves over the next couple weeks called “Move” which talks about why we all have a reason to dance, and how we can keep dancing on even through the hard and difficult times in life. “But, what does that really look like” you ask? Well, lucky for us this is a band that actually walks the talk and lives out what they sing. For example, we have a special behind the scenes look at a dance party that went down on the MercyMe tour bus after hours a few nights ago…

Watch at your own risk.

But seriously, this is a great song you don’t want to miss. Check it out in the video below, and read the lyrics to see what the heart behind it is.

“Move”

I’m not about to give up
Because I’ve heard You say
There’s gonna be brighter days
There’s gonna be brighter days

I won’t stop I’ll keep my head up
No I’m not here to stay
There’s gonna be brighter days
There’s gonna be brighter days

I just might bend but I won’t break
As long as I can see Your face

When life won’t play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can’t seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I won’t let it drag me down
Oh I’ll keep dancing anyway
Gonna move move
Gonna move move

I’ve got to hold it steady
Keep my head in the game
Everything is about to change
Everything is about to change

This hurt is getting heavy
But I’m not about to cave
Everything is about to change
There’s gonna be brighter days

I just might bend but I won’t break
As long as I can see Your face

Chorus

No matter what may come
Gonna move to a different drum
No matter what life brings
Gotta move to a different beat
