A couple years ago Phil Wickham got together with a bunch of friends for a very special night of worship called “Singalong” and the entire show was recorded & given out for free on his site! The album was amazing, so we were super excited to hear Phil’s announcement recently about another “Singalong” album coming soon.

Hey friends, Intern Mikaela here.

I’m not from Nashville and I must say, ya’ll have some confusing weather around here. I mean, it will be a scorching 99 degrees outside and then start pouring rain within a 5 minute span. Weird.

Anyways, Nashville makes up for it by having some pretty awesome sunsets.  Recently, every time I’ve seen a sunset, or the unfortunate times when I’ve been awake early enough to catch the sunrise, I’ve thought of The After’s new song, Light Up The Sky. The chorus says “light, light, light up the sky, You light up the sky to show me You are with me.” I think it’s a great reminder that just like God faithfully provides a sunrise and sunset everyday, He is faithfully with us always, through good times and bad.

As a major photography lover, I try to take as many pictures of sunsets as possible.  After all, not one is the same, right?  Here are a couple of my favorite sunsets:

The first picture I took on an airplane from Peru, the second picture is off of my deck at my house in Austin, Texas, and the third picture is on a beach in Peru. All of this being said, I want to see your best pictures of a sunset or sunrise and the place where you took it! Summer is the best time of the year; school’s out, we get to go on fun vacations, there’s outdoor movies in the park and fruit just tastes better.

I don’t know about you guys, but I love having a new music for the summer. There are certain songs I listened to for the first time during a summer that now whenever I hear it, I associate that song with that summer of my life. Isn’t that cool how music has the power to do that?

Bart Millard from MercyMe has been shopping for a new dining room table.	Michael from Building 429 hasn’t had time to go grocery shopping, so he figured he could just grab a couple fish from the pond to eat.
Derek Webb has been making homemade popsicles, which they naturally call “Rocksicles.”	Skillet figured since they didn’t have time to shoot fireworks off  this weekend that they would just light them off during their show last night.

BTW: You may be thinking this sounds nothing like Laura or Rachel. And that’s cause your right! My name it Tyler and I’m the new intern here at FreeCCM. I’ll be posting every now and then and try to keep you guys up to date with what all our favorite artist are up to. If you have anything you want me to write about that you’ve been afraid to ask Laura or Rachel the “real bloggers” about, drop a comment and I’ll come up with an answer for ya. Sic ‘em Bears.

So, we think that we can all say that summer is here. At least it is in Nashville. It’s hot, everyone is breaking out the flip flops, and sunglasses are a must! And, what does summer bring??

IT BRINGS BASEBALL!! There’s nothing better than heading out to see your favorite baseball team play. Our favorite team happens to be the Braves which is awesome because our friend Jonny Diaz has a GREAT connection to the Braves. His brother Matt Diaz plays left field for them!
