What’s On Your “Rainy Day” Playlist?

The Medicine final cvr 330x200

It’s raining here in Nashville today, and I think most people who live here are in agreement with me when I say, “Welcome beautiful rain storm, please come in and stay a while!” I love thunderstorms (unless they’re the kind that stay too long and flood the place), and one of the best things you can do to make your thunder storm experience an even better one is to add some great music into the mix. It’s sort of like peanut butter and chocolate, or graham crackers and milk (I’m sure there are better examples out there, but that’s all I could think of for now). By themselves each thing is good but when you combine them together they turn into something even more awesome. That said, I’ve got a great song suggestion for you today to add to your “Rainy Day” music list (and if you don’t have one yet, well, here’s your first track).

Now, it may not be cloudy where you are now, and that’s ok because this song that I’m about to suggest is actually great with or without thunder in the background. It’s called “Skeleton Bones” by John Mark McMillan, and I’m definitely a fan that’s excited to be able to give it to you for FREE! The whole album is great, so once you test out the free track, I would highly suggest going here to check out the rest of the record.

Click here to go download “Skeleton Bones” by John Mark McMillan and let me know what you think!

As you may have noticed, I’m a big fan of “rainy day” music and love discovering new stuff. Therfore… I do have a couple of serious questions for you:

(1)   Do you have a “rainy day” playlist?

(2) If yes, what songs do you suggest that I add to mine?

I’m excited to hear what you’ve got!

Who’s In The Mood For Some Great Worship?

JeremyHorn_330x200

This week, we have some exciting new music for you from worship leader Jeremy Horn. Not only is he giving us a free song download, but he’s also letting us stream his entire new worship album, We Welcome You In, so you can hear the whole thing before picking up your copy on sale at iTunes today.  (It’s only $4.99!!)

Jeremy is a full time worship pastor at “Christ The Rock” church- one of the most vital Christian communities in Memphis, TN—and one of the city’s largest multicultural churches. His new album, We Welcome You In, is a live worship record that was recorded at Jeremy’s church and finished at Ardent studios. “Both places are such creative hubs for me because they are so comfortable,” says Jeremy, “so making this album has been so relaxed. Being relaxed makes for an environment where the band and I can just worship and let the Holy Spirit do His thing. Hopefully we caught some of that on this record. These songs may be geared toward local churches, but I am extremely excited and prayerful that We Welcome You In will be a blessing to churches across the globe.”

I’ve been enjoying the album all week, and if I had to pick favorites I would say “Embrace The Cross,” & “Emptied,” tend to get repeated the most on my iPod. However, I want to know what you guys think :) Let us know in the comments section what your favorite is!

Click here to start listening to the full album, and download your free MP3 of “Now Is The Time”

Enjoy!
