Stellar Kart Bible Study Inspired By the Song “Everything Is Different Now”

Have you ever been in love? Love brings all sorts of emotions with it: joy, bliss, peace, confidence, hope. Whether it’s with a person, a hobby, or an object, we all know what that attraction and bond to something else feels like. It’s like nothing else matters in the world and we are floating on air. Our whole lives look better, we’re more optimistic, and what was once mundane is now wonderful. It changes everything, and we can hardly remember what life was like without it. How did we live before we’d found love? What was the point?

“You’re the love I finally found.” All our lives, we search for love and understanding. We connect ourselves to people and attach ourselves to things. We establish these bonds of love everyday, and these relationships can bring fulfillment in their own ways. Yet it is only when we realize God’s love that we know it’s what we’ve been seeking our whole lives. God is the ultimate source of love, the author of it. When we find Him, our lives are completely turned upside down.

“What a sad, sad song. But that was yesterday. Everything is different now.” Finding God, whether it’s for the very first time or the millionth time, is a life-altering experience. Our past does not control us anymore, and we aren’t weighed down by the guilt. Each time we come back after running away, no matter how far, we are made new again. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done, God is still there, waiting with an open heart. “I am yours forever. You have my heart, you have me.” When we commit ourselves to Him, surrendering completely, He comes in. He brings a spectacular new perspective with Him and changes our lives forever. And that makes everything different.
