Disciple Kicks Off O God Save Us All Release Week With Packed House for CD Release Party and Live Stream Event in Nashville

Disciple knew there was no better way to kick off their latest project, O God Save Us All, than by rockin’ out at a CD release party in Music City on Monday night. Along with the packed house, fans across the globe were able to watch the band’s performance in Nashville, TN via live stream as Disciple played tracks from the new album along with fan favorites.

Following the success of their 2010 release, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, Disciple’s new album consists of a tight, vibrant collection of hard-hitting rock songs with a redemptive heart. The 11-track album includes their current hit single “Draw The Line” which hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Christian Rock chart and Top 10 at CHR. Their second single and the album’s title track debuted in the Top 20 this week.

Fans and critics alike are raving, check out the sampling of the latest praise for O God Save Us All:

“If you’re looking for both a powerful and moving addition to your music collection look no further than Disciple’s latest O God Save Us All. It should keep old fans satisfied and draw in new and make a good addition to any collection.” - Alt Rock Live

“O God Save Us All is a dynamic collection of hard rock hymns, showcasing Disciple’s ability to create both raw anthems and symphonic ballads.” - New Release Tuesday

“I think we are seeing a new (and that’s a good ‘new’) side of Disciple beginning to emerge; along with some of the old elements that you heard in their earliest releases.” - Breathecast

“When the norm is crafting solid rock records with great replay value, ‘maintaining the norm’ isn’t such a bad thing; it’s no wonder Disciple has been around so long….The focus of the album is completely Christ-driven and delivers a message that’s great for all listeners.” - Jesus Freak Hideout

Disciple Makes Noise with “O God Save Us All” November 13th

Band to host special live stream concert event November 12 at Rocketown in Nashville

11-Track album includes the band’s current Top 5
Christian Rock hit, “Draw The Line”

Following their successful 2010 release, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, FairTrade Services band, Disciple is ready to make some noise once again with the November 13 release of O God Save Us All. The group’s latest project is a tight, vibrant collection of hard-hitting rock songs with a redemptive heart and includes their current hit single “Draw The Line” which has already hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Christian Rock chart and Top 15 at CHR. To kick-off the release of O God Save Us All, Disciple will host a live stream concert at Rocketown in Nashville on November 12. Fans from all across the globe can take part in the exclusive concert through the band’s website, www.DiscipleRocks.com.

“Record release week is always crazy for us because we can only be in one place at a time,” said lead vocalist and band frontman, Kevin Young. “We started talking about how we could share this new music with everybody and this opportunity felt like the perfect way to reach our fans that couldn’t attend a release show. This live stream concert will be a full-blown rock show, but we are going to do it storyteller style and talk about these songs – what they mean and why we wrote them. We are really excited about this!”

The 11-track album is complete with turbo-charged sound with a touch of some of the industry’s favorite songwriters. Contributors like Ben Glover (Brandon Heath, Lee Brice) and Seth Mosley (Newsboys) co-wrote tunes with Young on “Outlaws,” “Draw The Line” and “Once And For All.” The band’s current single, “Draw The Line” was also co-written with Glover and Mosley and arrests the listener with slamming rhythm and melodic heart to match. Disciple’s drummer, Trent Reiff steps out from behind the skins for this project to co-write a couple songs, including the album’s title track and next rock single.

“When I write songs I always ask, ‘how is this going to go over live,’” said Young. “I think when you hear the songs on this album it’s definitely loud, but it goes to a whole different level when you hear it live – everything is turned up a notch, not just in volume, but in the energy and intensity. We want our songs to move people, to get them to respond and give a feeling of being wrapped up in the music and we hope that’s exactly what this record does.”

Disciple Shares The Heart Behind Their Brand New Single & Upcoming Album!

Disciple’s new album releases November 13, but you can get a sneak peak listen by checking out their first single “Draw The Line” on iTunes HERE! Frontman, Kevin Young, shared some background about the song, as well as some info about the brand new album! See what he had to say below-

“Draw The Line” is a song about someone who is tired of trying to fix their problems by themselves. It highlights that moment in someone’s life where they are ready to completely surrender their life to God at the cost of losing their old life.

Disciple’s new album O GOD SAVE US ALL can be summed up as a soundtrack to the experience of a Christian life from beginning to end. The songs deal with the struggles and emotions of a life without Christ and our desperate need for Him, while also talking about the freedom & new family that we are a part of as the body of Christ, and lastly points to the hope that we have that eternal life is our greatest promise from God. -Kevin Young

Disciple Bible Study Inspired by the Song “Invisible”

We’ve all felt hopeless before. We feel like no one is paying attention to us or cares about who we are or what we do. Sometimes we even believe we have to act out to get people to notice us. Unfortunately, this can lead us to act in unhealthy ways. We buy into the lie that for anyone to spend time with us, we have to go to extremes. Disciple deals with this topic in their song “Invisible”.

Sometimes we feel like we’ve fallen so far that God can’t reach us. “And you think you’re damaged way beyond repair.” We think we’ve messed up and there’s no way God will forgive us. He can’t be okay with what we did. He doesn’t want anything to do with us anymore. How can a perfect God associate with us, lowly sinners? We know there’s nothing we can possibly do to pull ourselves out. “Every night you fall to pieces, knowing you can’t save yourself.”

However, it’s not up to us to get out alone. God promises help. He’s there to cross the divide, to find us even when we don’t feel worthy. “Well you’re not so far that I can’t get to where you are.” In times like these, God wants us to remember that we’re never too far from Him. He’ll meet us right where we are. “You’re not invisible to Me,” He says. He loves us more than we can imagine.

We are valuable. We are worthy. We are God’s sons and daughters. He doesn’t love us because of what we do, but because of who we are. And who exactly are we? We are His! “Nothing you can do can change how much I love you.” God cares for us unconditionally. He offers hope, He offers grace, He offers redemption. Everyday, He offers us love.

Let us know what you think and offer your input by using the comment box below. Also, be sure to scroll down to see what Kevin has to say about the song and read the lyrics. Thanks for reading!

Disciple “Invisible” Lyrics

(Verse 1)
You’ve got my attention
There’s no need to hurt yourself this way
You think no one will notice how you’re feeling
When you cry yourself to sleep

You feel stuck on the outside looking inside
Wishing this life wasn’t your life
And you think you’re damaged way beyond repair
Well you’re not so far that I can’t get to where you are

(Chorus)
You wish you were someone else
Every night you fall to pieces
Knowing you can’t save yourself
I can see you, I can hear you
There’s a place where the broken go
There’s a room full of second chances
You’re not stranded on your own

You’re not invisible

(Verse 2)
I’m ready to listen
There’s no need to hold it all inside
The smallest whisper
I hear it when your strength has all but died

I need you to believe me, can you trust me
That what you see, is not what I see
The reflection in the mirror’s telling lies
Cause nothing you have done could change how much I love you

(Bridge)
You’re not invisible
I can see you as you’re falling on your knees
You’re not invisible to Me
