Laura Stories Chapter 1: Nap Time, Baby Monitors, and Waiting On God

Laura Story released a touching devotional video called Laura Stories Chapter 1 – Nap time, Baby Monitors, and Waiting on God. In this video Laura shares her struggles with waiting on God in her life and encourages us with insight from Psalm 120.  Watch it below!

Psalm 120:1 says, “In my trouble I cried to the Lord, and he heard me.” I think on an intellectual level I believe that God hears me, but on an emotional level I’m still that one year old. I think that God hearing me should result in him answering me, answering me that way I want him to and answering me immediately. But God doesn’t necessarily work that way because he’s a better God than that.  God is always loving, always good to us and it’s actually inconsistent with his character to act in any other way. True faith in God means not needing that answer written in the sky or a billboard on the side of the road. We believe that God hears us because his word tells us. - Laura Story

Laura Stories is awesome. To compare our spirtual life to that of a parent and child is perfect. Thanks Laura!

Laura...such an excellent point. When my son was little, he had a wants vs needs list that many things were juggled around. Such a great reminder. Thank you for sharing your beautiful "Story."
