My mom gave me away when I was 11 and I’ve never really known my father, so I’ve always had this empty place inside of me as long as I can remember. And I always tried to fill it up with anything and everything that I could. But, I really don’t know if I believed that anything or anybody could ever fill that. But when I experienced God really coming in and filling it, I think I actually then got how lonely I really was. That hole really was filled by god in my life.

And I still struggle. There are days when I wake up and get a little glimpse of something that will make me feel really lonely. But it’s good to know that it’s just a feeling, and that it really is filled with something that’s not going to go away.
