This summer we took some time to highlight different ministries that Christian artists support. We took a look at Jonny Diaz’s trip to the Nashville Rescue Mission, and today we want to highlight another cause Jonny is supporting!
FINDINGbalance is “a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those who struggle with eating and body image issues.” (www.findingbalance.com).
A number of celebrities are going head to head with Nashville 5th Graders in a spelling bee to benefit this organization tonight, August 25th in Franklin, TN. You can learn more about the event at beeforfreedom.com. If you live in the area, go check it out!

What would be the worst possible word to get if you were participating in a spelling bee?

This one is hard. Floccinaucinihilipilification -- The estimation of something as valueless. [I thought it would go with Jonny's song "More Beautiful You"] :)
Bourgeoisie - meaning a social class or middle class.
I think the worst word to get in a spelling be would be "Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia," which ironically means the fear of long words.
butyraceous - it's a real word. It means resembling butter in appearance, consistency, or chemical properties. Go Pirates

pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis! No lies, it's a real word. One of my friends memorized it and would go around saying it when I was in JH, and eventually our whole group of friends knew how to say it and would just randomly yell it out :P
Thankfully, there's spell-check because I never can remember how to spell "remember." When I was in elementary school, this was the word that knocked me out of a spelling bee. It's such a simple word, too! I always forget the second "m."
Personally, I would say "antidisestablishmentarianism" which orignally refers to the opposition to the disestablishment of the Church of England, now opposition to the belief that there should no longer be an official church in a country. I have actually been in a mock spelling bee in which this word was used, towards the end of course.
To do more than duty requires: "supererogate"... unusual, would probably seem simple but easy to trip over your tongue
For me, just about any word would be intimidating since I'm not a good speller. Until recently, when we watched a movie about a spelling bee, I had no idea that "pterodactyl" (the flying dinosaur) even started with a "p." Oh well.
The worst word to get in a spelling bee would be antidisestablishmentarianism.
floccinaucinihilipilification. it takes practice just to say. my band once asked a crowd of campers for ten words to put into a full-length song. some college kid gave us this one. we got it to fit. it was epic.

I'm not a great speller, "Spell Check" is my best friend. But if I'm typing my least favorite word is "from" because I sometimes type so fast that I transpose letters and end up with "form" and the spell check doesn't catch it because it's still a word.
