This week we are giving away a Bart Millard signed CD collection including the albums Hymned and Hymned Again.
Bart Millard, the lead singer of MercyMe, founded the organization Imagine a Cure. Here is what he has to say about it:
Dear Friends,
My son, Sam Millard, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 2. Sam is now 5 and this disease has changed his life and our family forever, and it will continue to do the same to other families unless we find a cure. Type 1 (or Juvenile) Diabetes is a chronic debilitating disease affecting every organ system – once Type 1 Diabetes arrives, it becomes a life-long condition.
We need to find a cure, and that is why we need your support. Imagine a Cure is a non-profit organization I created to help support research that will lead to a cure for these children. Because of groups like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and research scientists around the world, our kids have a chance to live a healthy, albeit high-maintenance life. Sam is my legacy, please join Imagine a Cure to create a life long legacy for all children suffering with this disease and help end Juvenile Diabetes with us. Check out the rest of the site for more information on Type 1 Diabetes and how you can help.
Sincerely,
Bart Millard
Lead singer for MercyMe, founder of Imagine a Cure and father.

Aw
Awesome job Bart!
So Sweet!! Bart 1 BonJovi 0. If I could change the world it'd be more MercyMe!!!
Very cute video! I would change and put an end to bullying! No one needs to be afraid to live their lives! We are all free to be who God created us to be.
If I could change the world, I'd open everyone's eyes to allow them to experience the reality off the real world-changer, Jesus Christ, and what a life-changing experience a relationship with Him offers.
Imagine a world where parents wouldn't have to fear that they would have a child with Autism. As a grandparent of an Autistic little boy who is so beautiful and so intelligent, that would be my wish.
If I could change one thing in this world, it would be that everyone would know that Jesus Christ is the Lord of the whole universe. Cute video of your children .
We've adopted 2 children. Hopefully we've changed their world for the better.
For all children to feel loved and safe...free from fear and abuse.
First of all, I love the kids and the video. To answer the question, I would change the cultural influences that we all receive as young people. I'm not sure how it could be done, but I know that growing up we put so much stock into what we see and hear about the world and about other people. If we had more entertaining family television and movies, and if we could get talented artists singing about things that really mattered for all of their albums. I often wonder what it would be like if Eminem, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Jay-Z and all those other talented and popular artists used their talents to glorify God. Can you imagine the impact of blatantly Christian music on MTV and public radio!? I do thank God that we have such a flourishing culture of Christian music of all sorts. I love knowing that I can hear positive music anytime and in any genre, and it can all bring me closer to knowing our Lord. Thanks to all you artists who share your lives with us in poetry and music!
I would find a cure for Lyme disease! My mom has chronic Lyme disease and it is really really tough and hard on her. It is different than a lot of diseases because most doctors do not understand it and have wrong understandings about it. So I would want to find a cure and educate people about Lyme Disease!
If I could make a change in the world...I probably would change myself, and my love for my Master. As the saying goes; you can't others you can only change yourself.
If I change one thing about this world, it'd be to elimnate all doubt in God, because if everyone had God in their hearts, I'm sure the world would be a much better place, and with God all things are possible! :)
Really I would agree with the comment before about doubt in God. I would eliminate the hardness of people's hearts, so that they will simply give up their life and give it to Jesus Christ, not this world!
If I could change one thing about this world, I would make it where everyone would know and love God. Imagine what kind of world we would live in if we all made God first in our lives!! :-)
Also the need to find a cure for cancer is important. I had it when I was 12 years old, and I'm 38 now. Thank you God!!!
If I could change the world, there would be a Bible in every language and dialect.
Need to find out why our body becomes anti-body due to Cancer? It kills.. The solution will bless millions around the world.. I had it removed.. I am alive without it ..by God's grace..
I would make sure that everyone on earth knows Christ and we can all live as brothers and sisters in Christ
This is what we as believers are called to do: to be His hands and feet- compassion in action. Kudos to Bart! It is for this same reason that I am pursuing a career in medicine. I will be a first year medical student this coming fall, and this has been and will always be my motivation. After a couple years of education and training, I am planning on becoming a missionary doctor. =) Excitement!
Get Jesus back in our schools! That will solve everything.
To help find and establish a cure for Neurofibromatosis (NF)... it's a neurological disorder that affects people both mentally and physically, causing tumors and worse. My mom and two sisters have it. It's unfortunate that so few have ever even heard of it though it affects so many; however, thinking optimistically, it's victims have been some of the most inspiring people in my life through the bravery of their continues battles with it.
Adorable video. I lost my mom to cancer. I'd like to find a cure for cancer so no-one else has to lose a loved one.
I would Give everyone fresh drinking water and education. I would change poverty and bring medical care to struggling or needy countries. So that resources could be used for bringing people to Christ. Because without that we don't have much of a purpose, because that is the way we love Christ by loving others enough to bring them to Christ so I wouldn't try to make everybody saved.
