Laura Story Reflects On Worship, And What It Really Looks Like

Laura Story sat down with us to talk to us about the story of Abraham & Isaac from Genesis ch. 22, and explains how it has changed her view of worship. See what she had to say about what it really means to worship below.

This story has greatly affected my worship. It’s given me freedom to maybe not always be happy in worship. Sometimes worship is just about a surrendered heart. It’s about going somewhere and connecting with God even when I don’t understand the circumstances around me. But I do continue to believe that God is good, and continue to believe that he is worthy of my worship. Sometimes worship really is just trusting God when life is hard, and I think that Abraham really says it best. Sometimes worship is just saying “Here I Am.” -Laura Story

Have a good weekend!

Thank you for sharing...it is so hard to realize that worship is not always a feel good thing...that we can't understand God's purposes in all things ultimately we just need to be obedient...

We know, of course, that God is good all the time, in all circumstances, with no exceptions or hard-to-read fine print. Worship merely exposes this invariant truth to the world by making God look as good as He really is. That's what Abraham did, right?
