Bible Study With Laura Story – Learning To Count

Laura Story stopped by to hang out with us last week, and opened up about some amazing lessons that The Lord has been teaching her recently in her walk with him. Over the next couple weeks she’ll be sharing those things with you right here in our devotional time, and we’re excited for you to hear it. Check out our first episode below as Laura talks about “counting” and how she’s re-learning what that means according to God.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.James 1:2-4

Thank you Laura. I thank God for you in my prayers. This is so true. I think I made it through Pre-Algebra. Then in Algebra 1 I think they called it I lost it. It is true that in the basics of life I'm unwavering to a degree most likely because I understand, I see the end. It's in the unknown I get double-minded and begin to doubt, losing ground on who I stand upon. The rock of old who never changes like shifting sand. It's only I that move away, isn't it. Like Jesus said to Thomas, Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. I like you too failed in adding up in algebraic terms. Thanks be to God that I can count it all joy as I am in trials. I can even expect them as Jesus said, "In this world you will have trials. But be of good courage and take heart, for I have overcome this world!"
