Sara Groves has had the honor of attending the 3rd ever Lausanne gathering in Capetown, South Africa this week which pulls together evangelical leaders from all over the globe with the purpose to “unite in the common task of the total evangelization of the world.” We’re excited that she’s going to be keeping us updated from this historic event- Below is her first blog post from the journey there, as well as the first 2 “Twitter-sodes” that she’s put out to give us a glimpse at her experience. Check them out, and follow her on Twitter to stay up with the latest from Sara. ( Twitter.com/GrovesRoad)

Today we are on our way to Cape Town, South Africa for Lausanne, a global congress of Evangelical church and lay leaders. We are honored to be a part of the US delegation, and long to share the experience with you! One hundred and eighty-seven countries will be represented by a total of 4500 delegates, meeting to pray, worship together, and humbly ask God for direction. Lausanne was founded by Billy Graham, John Stott and Christianity Today in 1966 – this is the third such congress. Learn more about Lausanne at Lausanne.org But also participate! The site was built to include as many people as possible in this global conversation. In a small way you are invited to listen into our part of the experience and thoughts as Troy will be daily uploading short “twitter-sodes” (mini 1min episodes on twitter).
