As far as my favorite baseball team would have to be the Boston Red Sox but from growing up in GA I have always loved the Braves and its a past time going to there games in the summer.

I absolutely love Jonny Diaz's song "More Beautiful You". We played it for our youth Sunday school group a while back. They loved it! It's very inspirational and they all can relate to it. And we have a local baseball team that we love to go watch called the Diamond Jaxx here in west Tennessee. But we also like the Braves.

A few weeks ago, my 8-year-old daughter said it was her new favorite song (replacing Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella” as her favorite). She begs me to change the radio station while we are in the car to see if we can find “More Beautiful You”. She said the song is about true beauty. I also like “Stand For You”. Our favorite baseball team is the Braves (and the Rangers); I am not just saying this because of Matt. I have been a huge Braves fan for many years. We used to watch them on TBS all the time but now we have to catch them whenever they are on nationally. My husband and I took our kids to Turner Field last summer. The Rangers are closer to our home so we get to see them on TV more often and we try to go to a game a couple of times each season. My son really loves baseball.

Wow! Those are great questions. I enjoy all of Jonny's music so it is hard to choose a favorite song. I would have to say right now I like either Stand For You or He Would Tell You, though they are all great. I also have troubles with a favorite baseball team. I am from CO so I love my Rockies but I have watched the Braves religiously since 2004 and check the Braves score every night since I don't get Braves games everyday anymore.
I think my favorite song is Stand For You. everyone is afraid of offending someone when they speak about their religion, but we shouldn't be. Jesus wasn't afraid to correct/speak about the things the jewish people were doing, so why should we be afraid to speak our testimonies?

Although I have all of Jonny Diaz' albums and I love all of his songs. I have to say that there have been two songs that he has put out on his recors that God has used to transform my life. I, of course. love the song 'More Beautiful You.' As a woman of 28 who has never dated and has seen the pressure that the media emphazies on beauty and having the perfect body I've always struggled with finding beauty within myself. But the great thing with God is that beauty doesn't have to be on the outside, but can resound deep in your spirit where God dwells in your heart and allows that beauty to shine through your eyes - the portal to our souls. The other song that has had tremendous impact on me in the last two onths has been the song 'He Would Tell You,' in which the song tells the story of a new couple and the husband is singing to his wife saying what her father would say if he were there in person and not in heaven, so he tells her that her although her father who is in heaven would tell her to Go Change The World Your In. My dad died when I was 16 and I've struggled for 12 years with the pain of losing him and the saddness of not having him walk me down the aisle one day if God provides - I cried though that song the first time I really listened to it and it was like both my Father God and my dad came and wrapped their arms around me and said "Go Change The World Your In" and that's the goal I'm working towards. I'm a GA girl - born and raised and no matter the seasons they've had - I've always remained and always will remain a loyal Atlanta Braves fan! ;) Thanks for allowing me to share just a glimpse of what God is doing in my life! Without a doubt, More Beautiful You has been the most inspiring song I think I have heard. One of my best friends daughter was born with a cleft lip and palet. She has had many surgeries, and just turned 13 (the big one ) in March. She has had to deal with alot of issues over her looks over the years of growing up...and we all know kids can be so insensitive to each other. I was at the Joyfm Birthday Bash and got to see you then. I saw your shirts you had for sale and wanted to buy one for Lauren soooo bad, but when I checked on them, they are made for slimmmmer girls, not the traditional style. Needless to say Lauren is a little heavier than what those shirts would have fit. So I didnt get to get her one. I just wanted her to be able to wear it and be proud of the words on it and proud of who she is and how God made her. But my point is....the song is soo right on track with what our teenage girls do have to deal with in life and it is so encouraging..so no shirt. I am a die hard fan of theres. I went to a game in August to see Steven Curtis Chapman play my senior year cause he is one of my favorite artist. The Braves were playing the Brewers and C.C Sabathia was pitching. After the game we went to see him and saw Jonny Diaz was playing and knew him because the song a little. Then John Smoltz spoke, but Matt Diaz came out to. They said they were brothers and I was surprise and loved it. I respect him more now then I did then because of this. Go God and Go Braves!
One of my favorites is "Come Child". It was the 1st song I had ever heard by Jonny. I discovered it when his brother Matt mentioned it in an interview. My other favorite is "Nashville". My favorite song by Jonny is 'Waiting Room'. I've been struggling with health problems from the past 5 years that have completely turned my life upside down. Even though I know God has a plan for me and my health problems far too great for me to ever imagine, sometimes when struggling so much it can be difficult to remember that. However, every time I hear the song 'Waiting Room' I am reminded of God's much greater plan for me, helping me to re-adjust my focus and to keep moving forward knowing that God is in control. As far as baseball goes, I've never been overly into a specific sports team, but more of just being into the sport itself. Growing up near NYC it's expected for me to like the Mets or Yankees, somehow I never caught on with that. I rather not focus solely on a team name, after all players come and players leave; it's the overall passion that the players and fans alike have for the sport that is my favorite.
